Three nonprofits combine to create one effective organization. The Mediation Center of Buncombe County has come together with The Center for Dialogue of Transylvania County and The Dispute Settlement Center of Henderson and Polk Counties. Now a regional nonprofit, our combined resources bring wisdom, best practices, and stronger finances to the communities we serve. Finding Common Ground Sometimes people need help to resolve conflicts. The Mediation Center helps individuals, youth, families, and community groups find workable solutions. Our process is confidential and voluntary, and our mediators are trained to help people reach agreements and find long term solutions. Family Visitation Services At our Buncombe County location, the Family Visitation Program supports children so they can maintain relationships with both parents. We provide safe, supervised visits in comfortable rooms filled with toys and games.. This is also the place where safe child exchanges happen for families...
